A serial entrepreneur for the past 25 years, Philip Erdoes has started and operated several venture capital financed companies with a focus on manufacturing, design, logistics and entertainment. Philip’s original company, Bear Ventures, currently invests in and operates a series of companies across the US. He is Chairman and CEO of Bear holding, Bear Franchising llc, which is one of the leading franchisees in the Worldwide Express franchise system and CEO of the New Traditionalists/ducduc, a US based furniture manufacturer focused on hospitality and high end residential markets, with facilities and locations in Connecticut, California, and New York. He additionally sits on the board of Alef Mobitech, a leading edge wireless technology provider. Over the years, Philip has Produced and Executive Produced several award nominated films including Girl With the Pearl Earring featuring Scarlett Johansson, Incendiary featuring Michelle Williams and Ewan McGregor and the feature documentary, A New High.
Philip grew up in Oklahoma City, graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in biology/biomedicine, earned a JD with Honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. Philip sits on the National Board for TEDx, the National Advisory Board for the American Film Institute, and the Dean’s Advisory Board for Harvard Business School. He is an active supporter of Alex’s Lemonade Stand (pediatric cancer charity based in Philadelphia), Fabretto Children’s Foundation (focused on underserved children in Nicaragua), and the Loving Libbie Foundation (pediatric cancer charity based Texas). Philip lives in New York City with his wife and three daughters.
