Steve is a nationally recognized trial attorney specializing in regulatory defense and securities litigation, either in enforcement matters or private litigation. Mark Cuban and Elon Musk, amongst scores of others, rely on Steve’s expert counsel. 

That’s not, however, what defines Steve. He is a southern gentleman who believes in giving back in time and resources, who celebrates and honors his friendships and who would rather spend his waking moments having fun with his kids above anything else.  Stodg, Kiger and Erdoes are each friends of over twenty-five years.

“Somewhere Quiet” represents Steve’s first foray into the cinema industry and he is here to stay, recently joining as a partner of Last Rodeo Studios. While he doesn’t have a burger named after him or bought and sold his company multiple times or design furniture, he will down a wild hog from three hundred yards or boat a trophy tarpon. Captain Rhett Morris is quoted as saying, “If you return to the sea all the trophy fish Steve has caught, the ocean table would rise five feet.” 

A native Washingtonian, yes they do exist, Steve has deep roots to the DMV. Steve is a member of the Board of Trustees of Sibley Hospital and has served on boards of various foundations and charitable organizations in the Washington, D.C. area. He is also deeply invested in Captains for Clean Water in Southwest Florida. He is active with the children’s schools and his alma maters-Washington & Lee University and the University of Texas Law School. Steve lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with his wife and their three kids.
