About us

Founded by three gents with southern roots and an accompanying appreciation for media production, cowboy boots, and (real) barbecue sauce. Last Rodeo Studios develops, finances, and produces pretty amazing film and television projects (we’re extremely modest). Our mission is simple: provide audiences with the entertaining & compelling content they deserve across all digital platforms (while continuing the search for the best barbecue sauce).

Well, the "about us" section didn't do enough for you, clearly...

Our team consists of accomplished film producers, writers and entrepreneurs with collective film credits that have been featured in film festivals around the world (LAFF, SIFF, Telluride, DOCNYC and DIFF to name a few) and have been Golden Globe, BAFTA and Academy Award nominated (...key word: nominated, not that we’re bitter or anything)

Steve Stodghill

Commercial litigator named a Top 500 Lawyer in the United States. Supporter and Chairman of multiple film festivals and initiatives with production credits in narrative film and documentaries. Even has an award named after him (seriously, though).

Philip Erdoes

Serial venture capitalist overseeing operations around the globe in manufacturing, design, logistics, technology and entertainment (...obviously).

David Kiger

Entrepreneur and producer who built a $750 million dollar enterprise from $5,000 in a Houston bedroom. Strong supporter of the Dallas art and film scene (pun intended).

Eamon downey

NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate in Film/TV Production and Politics (because, why not). Producer, writer and director always looking to find the next big project. Really. He’s probably reading a script right now (needs a hobby).

still curious?

our films

Our team is in continuous development of narrative/documentary films and television projects, but here's  a little taste of what we’re in production on
(because... well, why not)
